2011 – Summit

August 18- 19, 2011 Oklahoma Children’s Court Improvement held its second statewide summit at the Norman Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center. The theme was Champions for Children: Tackling Trauma Together. Speakers were brought in to discuss the importance of becoming more trauma informed as a system.

2009 – Summit

Oklahoma held its first Children’s court Summit August 18-20, 2009 in Midwest City, Oklahoma Reed Conference Center. This conference marked 100 years of Juvenile Court being held in the state of Oklahoma.

There were over 550 professionals in attendance for this statewide summit. Speakers included Joanne Brown, consultant with the ABA, Judge Leonard Edwards (ret) California AOC and Dr. Rita Cameron Wedding from Sacramento State University.
